2021 Elective
Prerequisites: Prior attendance in a MILES SIMX event or other verifiable Light Infantry Patrolling Experience (Patrolling competency is assumed for this course)
Patrolling & conducting operations in cold weather conditions is a highly specialized task requiring specific training and patrolling experience.
The cold will beat you before the enemy, if you let it.
Join S&S for our second annual OP: Winter Forge.
This year we have decided to add a course of instruction on specific winter warfare patrolling techniques & sustainment with the Light Fighter Studies Group.
Ranging from cold weather specific equipment, individual skills, bivouac techniques, patrolling considerations and cold weather discipline.
The techniques learned during this course of instruction will prove to be invaluable during cold weather operations.
The MILES SIMX FTX is designed to allow participants to put their cold weather patrolling techniques to the test in a safe to fail environment.
