frequently asked questions

Question: "Who can attend?"

Answer: Any U.S. Citizen, age 14 and up, not convicted of a felony or currently under felony indictment.

Question: "Who should not come to an event?"

Answer: Any member of an extremist or terrorist organization, racists, etc. This is not the forum for spreading cancerous ideologies.

Question: "Can I bring my own rifle to a MILES 2000 event?"

Answer: Unfortunately, maybe?

1.) We have a limited number of MILES SATs available to mount on your personal rifle. The rifle must be chambered in 5.56 nato, with A2 cage flash hider, DI gas system & have 4 inches of exposed barrel length beyond any rail.

You must arrive the day prior (work party day) to be eligible for this service. Mounting fee of $50 applies- cash or venmo is okay.

2.) The time required to mount & zero each SAT (Small Arms Transmitter) makes it a distraction, time consuming process that takes precious time from staff personnel during the training.

-All of our AR-15's are equipped with flat-topped upper receivers so participants can co-witness a personal red-dot or similar optic during our events.

-It is also acceptable to bring a lower receiver to pin to our uppers or you may also bring a personal sling to add to our rifles.

Question: "Can I bring my own blank ammunition, blank fire adapter or magazines to a MILES 2000 force on force event?"

Answer: No, our safety protocol requires we control custody of the M200 Factory blank ammunition & our magazines are distinctively marked & dedicated ONLY to force on force MILES 2000 events. Please do not bring ANY ammunition or magazines of any type to the training event.

Question: "How old do you have to be to participate in a MILES 2000 force on force event?"

Answer: Participants must be at least age 14 and older. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the waiver & release form.

Question: "I'm a felon or have a confusing/grey area felon like legal situation in my past, can I participate in training?"

Answer: Persons convicted of a felony crime, or indicted under a felony charge CANNOT participate in ANY firearms training.

Question: "Will we be sleeping in the field during the event?"

Answer: Some missions during FTX's in particular require time in the field. Don't worry, with the appropriate gear and training you'll face this challenge safely.

Question: "Is the training physically tough & do you yell at people like drill sergeants?"

Answer: We recommend being able to run/walk a 1.25 mile in under 14 minutes, perform 25 push ups under 1 minute & 25 sit ups in under 1 minute. We also recommend hiking weekly with a 20 pound pack 2 to 4 miles over varying terrain in the weeks leading up to an event.
-No, we do not yell at members, we do offer verbal motivation when appropriate to induce combat related stress but we do not insult, harass or put down our members.

Question: Can I bring my pet to training?

Answer: We love our pets, however bringing pets to an event is a distraction from training, can offend host land owners and their pets. The liability of unknown animals on the training grounds cannot be tolerated.
